Xceleration Church Membership Agreement

I have decided to join the fellowship of believers at Xceleration Church.  I will do my best to do the following: 

1.  I will seek to grow spiritually with the help of my church family.

  • By seeking Jesus daily and developing a lifestyle of obedience to Christ. (Matthew 6:33)

  • By participating in Firm Foundation Class, Leadership and Ministry Development Classes. (II Timothy 2:15, II Timothy 3:16)   

2.  I will faithfully meet with my church family

  • By worshipping together in the Sunday worship experience (Hebrews 10:25)

  • By attending other meetings and fellowship opportunities as often as I can (Acts 2:46-47)

3. I will accept accountability from my church family: 

  • I understand that church pastors and leaders are shepherds under Jesus who are responsible to Him to feed and lead me by God’s grace. I understand there are no perfect people but God wants me to grow as they support me and hold me accountable to stay on the Journey following Christ as Lord. (Proverbs 27:5-6,9,17, Matthew 18:15-17)

4. I will serve in a ministry at my church. 

  • I pledge to serve eagerly in at least one ministry at my church. (Philippians 2:1-11)

  • I will joyfully & respectfully follow the leadership of others leading the ministry where I serve. (Hebrews 13:17)

5. I will give financially to support my church.

  • I understand the Bible teaches 10% of my gross income belongs to the Lord and should be given to the church. (Leviticus 27:30, Malachi 3:10)

  • I will cheerfully support my church & its vision. (I Corinthians 16:2) 

6. I will protect the unity of my church.

  • I will follow the leadership of my pastors and staff leaders. (Hebrews 13:17)

  • When I am offended, I will go to the person who offended me and seek a peaceful solution.  (Matthew 18:15)

  • I will refuse to be judgmental or participate in gossip or conversations that could undermine other members or leaders of my church and its vision. (Philippians 2:14)

7. I will participate in the growth of my church. 

  • By welcoming everyone into my church regardless of their color, race, nationality or circumstances of their past. (Matthew 28:18-20)

  • By continually seeking opportunities to share with others what Jesus has done in my life and encouraging them to come to church. (Luke 14:23, Mark 16:15)
